Welcome to LMentz of Pulse

What is PEMF and how does it work?

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy is an advanced technology that uses gentle pulsing electromagnetic fields to stimulate and support the body at a cellular level. These pulses influence the cell membrane, helping improve cell permeability and overall cell function. This can assist circulation, improve oxygen delivery to muscles and tissues, and support the body’s natural healing and recovery processes.

PEMF also stimulates a bioenergetic response known as electroporation, which occurs deep within the body’s tissues and helps cells function more efficiently.

The pulsing magnetic fields used in PEMF therapy are believed to positively influence many biological processes within the body.

Who can benefit from PEMF?

PEMF therapy can benefit both humans and animals, but it is particularly popular in equine and canine care.

For horses, PEMF is commonly used to support recovery from training and competition, assist with areas of soreness or inflammation, and help maintain overall muscle health and performance.

For dogs, it can help support mobility, comfort, recovery from injury, and general wellbeing.

PEMF is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that can be used to support the body in cases of acute and chronic inflammation, general wear and tear, and many types of injuries. It can also be used on healthy animals to help maintain balance in the body and support optimal movement, recovery, and performance.

Horses

LMentz of Pulse – PEMF Therapy for Horses

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy provides a gentle pulsing electromagnetic field, directly to cells to restore full function, it’s like recharging a battery.

PEMF can be used all over the body or specific areas, it is non-invasive, pain-free and does not require sedation.  PEMF is delivered using a variety of loops, moving them over the horse’s body, detecting areas of soreness and targeting those cells depleted of energy.

Two of our big success stories are of a horse called Jack who had major shoulder and nerve damage, and another horse called Timmy who had hip and tendon/ligament damage in a hind leg. Please see the Success Stories tab to read about them.

A whole-horse session is 50-70 minutes.

Dogs

LMentz of Pulse – PEMF Therapy for Dogs

I have succussfully used PEMF on dogs after some serious accidents or diagnosis, mainly ligament injuries and spinal cord issues.

Pet ailments that PEMF have helped successfully include; arthritis, pain relief, sprains and strains, orthopaedic injuries, hip dysplasia, cronic organ disorders, depression, immune system, osteochondritis, vertebral disorders, asthma, allergies, epilepsy, aid fracture healingm post surgical healing, palliative care.

IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) is a major ailment we use PEMF on and have had great success. IVDD is a common spinal condition, often inherited, where the discs that cushion the vertebrae weaken, slip, or rupture, leading to pressure on the spinal cord. This pressure can cause severe neck or back pain, instability when walking, paralysis, or loss of bladder function. It is particularly prevalent in chondrodystrophic breeds such as Dachshunds, French Bulldogs and a few other breeds.

Three big success stories are of 2 dashchunds with IVDD, Pinot and Ellie and a Red Healer with IVDD, Tenor. Please see the Success Stories tab to read about them.

A whole-dog session is 45-60 minutes.
